ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are looking for a motivated, passionate and suitably qualified individual to join Council's bush regeneration team. Reporting to the Supervisor Bush Regeneration, this position is responsible for working as part of a small team to undertake a variety of bushland rehabilitation and vegetation management works to support the Shire’s biodiversity.
This position will work constructively with the Supervisor to assist in training and mentoring more junior staff and ensure the teams goals and objectives are achieved.
To be successful you will bring

- Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in bush regeneration with the ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
- Proven good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
- Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablet, iPhone) applications.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission and a good and safe driving record.
- Current Chemical Application certificate.
