Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast is the peak regional organisation for multiculturalism, providing key services to seniors, migrants, refugees and new international arrivals. We serve the needs of multicultural residents across the Gold Coast community.

About the role:
This position will be to provide assistance to the Employment & Training team with operational tasks and duties, while studying towards a Certificate III in Business, to engage in on-the-job experience, and developing through learning opportunities.
This position is a 12-month fixed-term traineeship, ideal for a recent school-leaver. As this is an entry-level position, the Trainee will be paid according to the relevant Award which will range between $11-$20 per hour depending on certain variables.
What you will do:
- Completing forms as per program requirements and adhering to established processes.
- Data entry: participants demographics, program-related information.
- Attending workshops, training, networking events and other functions to further MCCGC's presence across the community.
- Assisting with room set-up, organising catering and food preparation for classes, workshops and events.
- Administration support: scanning and organising documents.
- Supporting students and participants with applications and registrations.
- Promoting various workshops and programs.
- Offering general assistance and support to the Employment & Training team where required.
About you:
- No experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in working in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with great time management skills.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
Please note: To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid visa that allows you to work and undertake training in Australia. Previous qualifications may affect required funding for this traineeship.
