One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Business Analyst to work as part of a scrum team to deliver solutions to department business problems. The role is based in multiple locations in Australia. The successful Business Analyst will be offered a 12 month contract with 2 years of options to extend.
The successful Business Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Use a range of analysis techniques such as user journeys, use cases, user stories with acceptance criteria, process mapping, process flow diagrams
- Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders and
- develop quality documentation (including requirements, epics, features and product backlog items, reports, management plans, procedure documentation, testing plans etc.)
- Collecting the information from multiple sources such as solution design documents, business requirement specifications, IT Strategy documents etc and represent them in a consolidated document
- Perform the GAP analysis of the current systems and build a technology roadmap along with the SMEs, Product Owners and Architects etc
The successful Business Analyst will have experience in the following:
- Minimum 5 years’ related experience as a Business Analyst in Commonwealth environment.
- Experience working in an agile software development team
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions
- Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems
