• Utilize discounted cash flow, scenario, and risk evaluation techniques to perform financial analysis and modelling, supporting the development of strategic business decisions.
• Conduct comprehensive financial evaluations of new business development projects, including major capital projects and businesses.

Data and Sales Analysis

• Gather, review, test, and analyse data to derive critical business insights, offering recommendations for key decision-making.
• Conduct market analysis and modelling, as well as sales and operational metric reporting and analysis, aligning with business unit and company strategy to enhance financial performance.
• Offer analytical support for negotiating key customer, supplier, and contractor contracts, including conducting pricing and margin analysis, as well as risk and scenario analysis.
• Develop and recommend pricing models and strategies aimed at achieving target sales volume and margins.

Strategy

• Conduct thorough research and critical analysis of company and business unit market data, public databases, and consultant reports to formulate recommended long-range economic assumptions for planning purposes, encompassing key commodity prices like sugar, fertilizer, and oil.
• Research and deliver analysis and interpretation of strategic issues, aiding the strategic planning process and contributing to strategic scene setting.
• Offer financial and analytical support, along with insights, to operational and senior managers, facilitating the implementation and monitoring of strategic objectives.

Project and Stakeholder Management

• Craft presentations that convey findings, recommendations, and potential alternatives for further exploration. Present these deliverables to operational and business managers, senior executives, and other pertinent stakeholders.

The Successful ApplicantOur ideal candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and professional recognition from finance, business, accounting, economics, and/or engineering fields, along with a minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in analytically oriented roles. You will exhibit strong analytical skills, financial modelling proficiency, and the ability to interpret financial statements. Attention to detail, robust computing abilities, and advanced problem-solving capabilities are essential. You will be able demonstrate confidence in collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with senior executives. Adaptability in unfamiliar environments, coupled with clear communication skills, is crucial.
