Base pay range

A$120.00/hr - A$130.00/hr

BLACKROC | Principal Consultant | IT & Project Services

BLACKROC is partnering with a Federal Government client to find 2 x AS6 Business Analysts for a 12 Month Engagement. This Business Analyst will be positioned within the Data and Analytics Branch, with the primary role of supporting the Agency by providing high quality data and reporting and translating insights into measurable business performance improvements. Focusing on delivering data and reporting while building data literacy capability across the branch and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and document business and technical requirements for Agency's Data & Analytics projects.
Analyze and document current and future business processes and data flows.
Provide recommendations to stakeholders for process and solution improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all necessary input for requirements.
Review design documents to ensure alignment with business goals.
Contribute to solution design and implementation.
Establish a traceability framework for ensuring alignment of deliverables with business outcomes.

About You:

Experience in implementing Data Lake or Data Warehouse applications and associated architecture.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation.
Proficient in leading requirement development and validating stakeholders.
Skilled in documenting data and process flows to analyse requirements.
Experienced in mapping current and future processes.
Capable of understanding and capturing business needs related to data usage. • Able to translate business data into actionable insights.
Experienced in agile product development for data products.
Proficient in creating detailed User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
Familiar with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
Practical experience with Agile Delivery framework.
