About the division/ team

Corporate Services division provides sustainable strategies, solutions and services to enable our clients to deliver with confidence Transport's vision. The division thrives in providing a robust to commercial management, ensuring financial sustainability across the cluster and driving strategic projects, procurement and transformation through the provision of corporate services to internal clients.

This role sits within the Transport Shared Services (TSS) Asset & Workplace Services (AWS) management team. The AWS team support Transport by managing properties, travel, fleet services and workplace requirements across Sydney and regional NSW. This also includes mail, reception and card management.

The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join our AWS team on a 12-month fixed term contract with a view to extend. The base location for this role is Burwood however the team are currently working hybrid.

As the Business Analyst you will be responsible for providing data, analysis and reporting, as well as preparing of business cases and presentation packs that are useful in developing initiatives for service improvement, tracking key metrics and to inform decision making across AWS. The role extracts and analyses data from a variety of existing Transport Shared Services (TSS) and third-party systems and where this is not the case it works to establish the requirement and implement the data and reporting solution.

You will also be required to
  • Engage with Asset and Workplace Services (AWS) teams, Workplaces, Group IT and third-party providers to develop, manage and implement power BI dashboard, insights, standards and processes which reflect business requirements and effectively harness technology.
  • Lead the preparation of system requirement documents and the identification of specific data and reporting requirements across the AWS portfolio.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Experience in delivering system improvements in a large complex organisation
  • Experience working with different teams and third-party providers
  • Experience developing, managing, and implementing reporting dashboard, standards and processes.
  • Ability to keep up to date with current and emerging best practice, government policy and statutory requirements
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and/or competing agendas of stakeholders and negotiating agreed positions and solutions.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 7.
