Baywood’s continued business growth has led to an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Business Analyst & Procurement Specialist to join our Maryborough based team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Business Analyst and Procurement Specialist is a senior position responsible for analysing business processes, with a focus on embedding and optimising these to enable data-driven decision making within the organisation, leading to greater efficiencies and  improvements.  You will achieve this by working closely with stakeholders, understanding their needs and requirements, and providing these insights to support strategic decision making. Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and workflows.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Assist in project planning, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables and regular updates to stakeholders
  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and track project success and business performance
  • Act as a liaison between the business and production teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration to understand their needs and expectations
  • Maintaining relationship with suppliers and monitoring their performance to ensure products supplied met specifications
  • Prepare comprehensive business requirement documents, functional specifications, and create visual models such as flowcharts, diagrams, and prototypes to illustrate business processes and solutions
  • Apply LEAN methodology to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiencies throughout the business

About you:

  • Formal qualifications in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field 
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies 
  • Proficient in the use of Inventory Management Systems
  • Understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • Safety focus 
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes
  • Strong analytical skills and problems solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
