Our infrastructure and processing assets handle a wide range of grains, pulses and oilseeds and produce edible oils, biofuel components and animal feeds, among other products for the food production industry.
About the role
We’re establishing an Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence at GrainCorp to power data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives as well as reduce complexity / duplication / waste, through knowledge and expertise that will unify and accelerate our path to achieving data competency company wide.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Analytics within our COO Office, the Business Analyst will:
- Work across advanced analytics projects and BAU to deliver meaningful insights, analysis and recommendations
- Prepare presentations, plans and reports to support identification and development of advanced analytics use cases
- Develop financial models, valuations and associated analytics to support business decisions.
This is an outstanding opportunity to build out a CoE from scratch, and to engage with diverse stakeholders, understand their business challenges, and apply a strategy toolkit to support the identification and prioritisation of sustainable and scalable solutions that complement traditional business improvement techniques.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in a business or finance-related discipline together with some experience gained in business strategy in a commercial environment.
Other critical attributes:
- Strong structured problem-solving background and existing strategy toolkit
- Strong skills in financial analysis and commercial modelling
- Independent skills to research and to access internal and external information
- Strong proficiency using MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Solid understanding of financial statements and value drivers.
In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police and credit check.
