Business Analyst

"Role Purpose
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the Business Analyst team to ensure that true business needs are clearly identified and stated. This includes all requirements needed to deliver and maintain the solution such as required performance, tools and reporting."
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Support the Creation and/or document the Opportunity Canvas, Program Epics, User stories that provide sufficient detail in preparation for the regular backlog grooming sessions.
- Documenting clear functional and non-functional requirements and processes including but not limited to business, performance, operational, system, reporting, security, scalability and / or usability requirements.
- Documenting the As Is and To Be processes in BPMN2.0. The As-Is diagram describes the present state of the organization's process, culture, and capabilities. The To-Be diagram describes the future state; how the organization's process, culture, and capabilities will appear in the future.
- Participate in project level meetings, planning meetings, daily stand ups, showcases, and documenting meeting outcomes as required.
- Ensure that deliverables are peer reviewed within /teams to assure BA deliverbales adhere to best practices and that templates are followed.
- Own and represent the business requirement gathering activity within a project or initiative.
- Manage scope of the requirements documentation and comply with change management procedures.
- Create the traceability matrix to ensure requirements are managed throughout the lifecycle of any project/program.
- Identify and promote the definition and reuse of common business processes and practices.
- Develop, refine and rollout common processes and procedures for business analysis.
- Identify areas for improvement and ensure that any necessary changes are identified and implemented.
- Review design and testing documents and work with technology and testing teams to ensure business requirements are satisfied.
- Support testing in confirming the validity and testing of the requirements (that is, confirm that the requirements meet the business needs from both a functional and non functional perspective).
- Ensure that stakeholders are kept apprised of the status of requirements and the scope of the deliverables.
- Drive process improvement by documenting such areas of improvement and initiating discussions and/or by ensuring the proposed solution addresses such areas.
- All other duties as directed by the Company.
- Adhere to defined policies and procedures as introduced and varied from time to time
- Support the wider delivery team with reporting and any required co-ordination activities.
