The Gig 

As a Business Development Executive specialising in Lead Generation, you will play a pivotal role in our growth strategy. You will be working onsite 5 days a week with some flexibility at our award-winning hotel as you research, source, and secure new contacts and qualified meetings, events, and corporate leads. Your primary focus will be on account mapping, industry research and development, sourcing, and negotiating group, meeting, and event opportunities. Additionally, you'll actively participate in the corporate RFP season, identifying opportunities for both volume and SME level account introductions to the sales team.

Our ideal candidate will be looking to grow their sales career in a supported, collaborative environment with a creative and expanding brand.

Some of the things you will be doing in your new role:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and opportunities within the meeting, event and corporate segments
  • Develop and implement effective Lead Generation strategies, including the use of industry tools and databases, to secure qualified meetings and events.
  • Utilise account mapping techniques to identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organisations
  • Invite customers to experience the hotel, showcasing our unique meeting and restaurant spaces
  • Consult with customers on their meeting needs, crafting bespoke proposals
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure smooth handover of confirmed meetings
  • Collaborate with the sales team on qualified corporate RFP leads and opportunities
  • Participate in corporate RFP processes, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of Lead Generation activities and outcomes using CRM software.

About you

  • Sales experience in Business Development, Lead Generation, or a related field.
  • Strong research and sourcing skills, with the ability to identify and qualify potential leads effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • 5 star hotel experience in a sales coordinator or executive role preferred
