My client are a leading French group in the area of household equipment: Washing, Cooking, Cooling, Small Appliances, Television and Air Conditioning. They design and manufacture products for four iconic brands which are present in millions of households across the world.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Business Development Manager to join a leading organisation within the Home Appliances sector. This role offers the chance to lead strategic expansion efforts in Australia and New Zealand, develop comprehensive sales strategies, and foster strong relationships with distributors and retailers. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Major Domestic Appliances industry and be able to effectively communicate product ranges to various stakeholders. This role requires regular overseas travel and offers the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches and promotions. This role is remote and based in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic expansion of presence in Home Appliances sector within Australia and New Zealand
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and retailers, ensuring effective collaboration and optimised sales channels
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth
- Possess a deep understanding in Major Domestic Appliances industry, and effectively communicate and sell our product ranges to distributors, retailers and end consumers
- Conduct regular analysis of competitor activity, pricing strategies, and market trends to identify opportunities and threats
- Ensure compliance with relevant testing and certification standards in the Australian and New Zealand markets, staying updated on regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and operations to align strategies and drive successful product launches and promotions
- Provide regular reports and insights on market performance, sales forecasts and competitor activities
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Home Appliances industry for both B2B & B2C sectors
- Diploma/Degree in business management or any related field
- Strong track record in sales performance
- Strong negotiation & problem-solving skills
- Possess a high level of commitment and a strong sales-driven mindset
