About the Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this senior role is a sales, client experience and relationship position.

This key role requires the maintaining and acquiring of profitable new business through our Retail and Business Bank Partners. You will build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally, with a strong focus on increasing the penetration of the Insurance Premium Funding & Equipment Finance products through intermediaries and customers.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Achieve Margin and Volume targets set by the Bank.
  • Price applications to ensure maximum return and volume for the Bank.
  • Well-developed relationship management experience internally and externally, and passion for exceeding client expectations.
  • Senior team member qualities & leadership skills required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required.  
  • End to end process and client experience support.
  • Credit submission support including financial analysis.
  • Engage in your own development.
  • Continuous improvement of procedures, processes, and ways of working to improve customer experience.
  • Strong focus to understand and adhere with the BOQ Code of Conduct, Audit, policies, procedures, laws, regulations, Operational Risk & Compliance that your BOQ role encompasses.

About you
  • Insurance Premium Funding experience and ideally Equipment Finance and/or other Banking experience.
  • Ability to identify acceptable lending risk to the Bank and to maximize profit from transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience of building, maintaining and utilising successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be a self-directed, motivated team player who is passionate about providing a better experience to all stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior and effective interpersonal skills.  Must have the ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of people at all levels.
  • Must be willing to help colleagues solve complex tasks and be prepared to take the initiative to achieve outcomes and goals.
  • Ability to make informed decisions taking all relevant information into account.
  • Customer focused and professional at all times.
  • Effective time management skills
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, Internet.
  • Ability to critical analysis and interpret financial statements.
  • The ability to work within defined policies and procedures.
