To continue this growth, we are looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager to push us to new heights.  

Role Overview:

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Murdock Recruitment. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within chosen sectors. You will be instrumental in expanding our client base, forging strategic partnerships, and maximising revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research prospective clients within the Education, Manufacturing, Machine Operators and Logistics space, understanding their hiring needs, pain points, and objectives.
  • Develop and implement targeted Business Development strategies to engage potential clients, build relationships, and ultimately secure new accounts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the recruitment team to align Business Development efforts with talent acquisition strategies, ensuring a seamless and efficient recruitment process.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients, effectively articulating the value proposition of Murdock Recruitment.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients, striving to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and sustainable partnerships.
  • Track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics, including sales targets, client retention rates, and revenue growth, providing regular updates to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in Business Development, preferably within the recruitment or staffing industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in PC skills at an advanced level is required for tasks such as generating quotations and negotiating commercial terms.
