Clarence River Fishermen's Co-Operative are located along the mighty Clarence River within the Clarence Valley in Northern NSW. We are the largest fishing Co-Operative along the East Coast, supporting the local Commercial fishing fleet within the Region for over 78 years. We are searching for a motivated seafood sales specialist to join our wholesale team. Our local seafood products are exceptional and we’re seeking an individual who believes, supports and can assist us to grow our reach for others to also experience the exceptional products our hardworking, local commercial fishermen deliver to us daily.
Our diverse range of customers include supermarkets, restaurants and seafood retailers both domestically and overseas. We are seeking an individual who has a track record in achieving the following key responsibilities:
- Growing sales in your designated area
- Constantly seeking out new customers and opportunities
- Building relationships with a portfolio of existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities for them
- Providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Constantly influencing and supporting customers to ensure maximisation of the sales opportunities is gained
- Identifying new product ranges and future selling opportunities
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role is ideally suited to a candidate with a natural flair for sales and proven Business Development experience preferably in the Seafood industry. Seafood awareness may not be necessary if the right person arrives in our Inbox so don’t shy away from applying as long as you:
- Exhibit commitment to developing and achieving sales, margins and budgets
- Have a number of years’ experience in a FMCG business
- Having a strong knowledge of seafood sales & FMCG industry experience would be an advantage
- Have an understanding of Food Safe guidelines together with Quality Assurance standards
- Be a driven, self-starter that is comfortable multi-tasking and working autonomously
- Possess strong Computer, organisational, communication and customer service skills
- Have excellent personal presentation
- Work well within a small, supportive team environment
- Be flexible and spirited, with a focus on delivering results
- Acceptance that intra and interstate travel may be required as part of the role
Our preference would be a candidate located close to our Head Office in Maclean NSW, however for the right individual with the proven career achievements, location is not the primary driver in our search for the successful candidate. A salary package is negotiable based on experience and what the potential candidate can deliver to enhance our team.
