An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our friendly team based in North Lake WA. We are looking for a proven sales performer who can deliver a great customer experience and grow our WA client base. If you are passionate about Safety and Emergency services, and want to make a meaningful impact in your career, this may be the role for you.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be managing an existing client base in WA, and actively looking for new business opportunities in the Western Australian region including converting inbound leads and establishing outbound client relationships for long-term business partnerships.  Our North Lake training centre has industry leading training facilities, so that we can conduct realistic Emergency Response and rescue training, and LIVE FIRE training in safe and controlled conditions. About the Role
The position is responsible for managing an existing client base and driving new business for Safety and Emergency Response training opportunities through qualified leads, utilising existing client base information through our CRM (Salesforce), Networking with industry bodies and proactively contacting businesses in industries that require our training services.
In this role, you are empowered to proactively support clients end to end, ensuring our customers have a positive experience. Working in a fast-paced environment, working with a diverse range of people and industries including Mining, Infrastructure, Construction, Oil and Gas, Defence, and Manufacturing.
You will have the opportunity to:

Your primary duties include but are not limited to:
  • Achieving sales targets from existing repeat clients and new business
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients acting as their account manager
  • Increasing client base via converting inbound leads, managing FSA existing accounts, and cold calls and relationships to drive new business
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of FSA training courses and our value proposition
  • Writing sales proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders internal and external
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities, partnering with the WHS Foundation, and other organisations
  • Importing and updating sales data on our CRM (Salesforce)
About You
You are a highly driven and successful Business Development Manager looking to make a difference in Safety and Emergency services in the world.  The ideal candidate will have:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills - ability to interact with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
  • A minimum of five years of Business Development experience, ideally within an RTO, or selling within the safety or Emergency Response industry
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards clients and colleagues
  • A track record of achieving sales targets and growth budgets
  • Time management and strong organisational skills - the ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure.
  • Reliable and the ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Demonstrated computer software skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; CRM (Salesforce) or similar.
  • Pervious experience selling to the mining industry and supply chain will be highly regarded
This is a full-time role with a Competitive Base Salary of $110K - $130K + Superannuation + Commissions + Car or Car Allowance + Phone.
Full time - Monday to Friday with the expectation of some out of hours work being required, and travel throughout WA required.
