  • Fixed term, full-time - 5 year Contract
  • Salary (Level 8 Officer): $128,522 to $137,155 per annum inclusive of annual leave loading plus superannuation
  • Rostered day off per month

  • Based in Hilton on the city fringe

The role of the Business Lead Project Delivery is vital in providing management and leadership for the delivery of the capital works program including roads, footpaths, stormwater, road/foot bridge and traffic control devices and developing long term capital work programs.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • managing, reviewing and implementing the delivery of the capital works program.
  • preparing project briefs, technical specifications and tender documentation for the engagement of consultants and contractors.
  • providing specialist support and expert advice to other teams within Council to contribute to the efficient management of Council's assets.
  • providing effective leadership and direction to members of the Projects Delivery Team.
  • managing government grants and funding for roads including the Roads to Recovery, Special Local Roads Program.

Who you are

If you have experience working at a senior level in construction or infrastructure project planning and have a demonstrated ability to plan and organise your own work and that of others while monitoring and reviewing progress of contracted works we want to hear from you.

We are looking for experienced candidates who have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.

You must also have the following essential qualification(s):

  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering/Construction Management, or related discipline
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Work Zone Traffic Management Licence (or willingness to obtain)

In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a "Class C" driver's licence and national police clearance will be required as part of the recruitment process. A degree or Diploma in Project Management is desirable but not essential.

Note: The CWT is a COVID-19 vaccinated workplace, so if successful in gaining employment with the CWT you will be required to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status indicating you have received your two primary doses (or three primary doses if immunocompromised) or alternately your SA Health approved vaccination exemption.
