As part of the Bushland team this position supports the planning and delivery of infrastructure and recreation projects across 5,000ha of bushland. The team manages $46 million worth of assets servicing bushland areas - including a 250km network of fire trails and recreational tracks, footbridges, boardwalks, lookouts, bollards, barriers and signs.
This role provides technical, project and asset management support for the planning and implementation of the City of Hobart bushland capital works and asset renewal programs.
Role accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, document and coordinate the implementation of Bushland Infrastructure, capital renewal and the asset management plans.
- Preparation and review of Asset Management Plans.
- Contributing to strategic planning initiatives to support continued development and improvement of the City's recreational assets.
About you: The ideal candidate should have a love for the outdoors and possess experience in delivering infrastructure projects in natural/bushland areas.
They will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Project Management or Natural Resource Management as well as extensive knowledge and experience in project and contract management, including preparation of technical specifications and contract documents.
