Due to the continual growth of our organisation, we are seeking applications for experienced Portion Cutter (slicer) to commence ASAP.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Head Butcher, this is a Full-Time position that involves the processing of meat. This is a Mon to Fri job with no weekend or overtime work required it is a salary position.
The successful candidate must have past experience in a similar role, be able to maintain high health & safety standards, meet or exceed all GMP and HACCP requirements, and must be a good team player.
Your day-to-day routine will consist of the following:
- General slicing
- Trimming primals
- Portion cutting
- Operating equipment such as Dicers, Bandsaws and Sausage Fillers
- Weighing and labelling a variety of cuts of meat
- Maintain and clean the Butchery to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to all GMP and food safety guidelines.
- Other duties assigned by Head Butcher
Candidate Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience as a slicer and/or butcher.
- A passionate and energetic tradesperson
- Exceptional Knife skills
- Understand all aspects of food safety.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
