MPI has been engaged by our client, a principal gold miner, who is looking for a Purchasing Office / Buyer for their Warranty and Repair Team. Our client is committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers. They are seeking a highly motivated Buyer who has previously worked in the mining sector to join their team and ensure the seamless execution of warranty and repair activities between manufacturers, suppliers, and repair agents, as well as site-based personnel.Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, repair agents, Purchasing, and Site Supply Supervisors to ensure clear communication of instructions and dialogue regarding warranty and repair activities.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships to negotiate commercial terms with external suppliers.
- SAP System Management: Oversee daily Repair Requests via the SAP System, ensuring prompt and efficient creation of Repair Orders
- Expediting Activities: Conduct expediting activities for Purchase Orders/Service Orders related to repairable items.
- Organisational Skills: Strong planning and organisational skills with a commitment to adhering to policies and procedures
- Demonstrated: Mining experience is a must
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills; a proactive team player
- Flexibility: Ability to handle both administrative and hands-on tasks.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
