Based in Sydney Australia, our brand is made up of an exciting range of personalities and talents. We are looking for a Buyer/Merchandiser to join us on our journey.
We are after someone with experience in the women's fast fashion industry as a Buyer/Merchandiser, possesses an eye for fashion trends, excellent organizational skills and is passionate about his/her role.
The ideal candidate will:
- lead, source and purchase styles aligned with label direction and brand aesthetic.
- undertake market research, understand and forecast market trends liaising with the Design and Creative team to produce a purchasing plan.
- identify and collaborate trends across departments that align with Selfie Leslie creative direction.
- organize, allocate and scrutinize seasonal and collection range drops, planning ahead of time.
- monitor stock arrival, ensure seasonal, trans-seasonal and/or cross-seasonal styles are received in an organized and timely manner.
- allocate and budget purchasing with appropriate planning, accounting for production capacity and inventory management.
- communicate and liaise with the Design, Sales and Production and E-commerce team as well as external suppliers.
- cooperate and communicate on creative collaterals such as banners, campaigns, EDMs with the Creative team.
- be result driven: present weekly/ monthly reports on style performance and conversion to Creative, E-Com and Management teams.
- understand Selfie Leslie's brand position and aesthetic in relation to the industry and competitors.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Buyer/Merchandiser in fast fashion preferred.
- Tech-savvy and computer educated.
- High level of Microsoft Suite skills including Excel.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively, meet deadlines and be self-accountable.
- Excellent communicator and organizer, with an attention to detail.
- Passionate and has an eye for women's fast fashion, understands market narrative and fashion trends.
