About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a positive, organised Buying Assistant (Merchandise Team) to join our talented team in Brookvale, NSW. You will be an organised, dynamic, and pro-active candidate with great attention to detail.
Reporting to the Head of Gifting this role will assist the merchandise team in the management of their portfolio of distributed brands and product ranges in line with business, customer and market expectations. The role will assist in the coordination and management of the company’s Buying and Merchandising Process.
The Merchandise team sets the seasonal range plan and product selection strategy for their brands, establishing and managing strong strategic relationships with suppliers and distributed brands to deliver against these strategies. The Buying/ Merchandising team is responsible for the end-to-end bi-annual new season launches at IsAlbi, providing creative insights and managing timelines across the business to meet multiple deadlines across showroom, trade fairs and catalogues. The Buying Assistant (Merchandise Team) role will assist the teams in this process.
Key Role Accountabilities
- Assist the buyers in all product-related administrative tasks, ensuring the timely, cost- effective and quality delivery of products to the business.
- Work closely with the team to assist with the preparation of range reviews and presentations for our branded portfolio.
- Effectively manage and maintain the critical path of product, ensuring all products are set-up correctly in our systems and samples are received according to the timeline.
- Support all channels in the delivery of performance targets with effective communication and acting as a contact point for both internal teams and suppliers.
- Develop product knowledge and understanding of the ranges to ensure timely advice and support to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the creation of new season catalogues and presenters.
- Produce ad hoc reporting as required.
