The Opportunity
If you are excited about a career in the Cabinet Making industry, this role provides a three-month contract with the opportunity to earn while you learn in a supportive, clean and safe environment. The position provides a structured progression through various hands-on roles in a modern manufacturing workshop, the tasks are designed to grow your skills and experience. The opportunity enables you to take a closer look at the Industry and enables The Maker to assess your suitability as a Cabinet Maker. For successful candidates at the end of the three month program, this provides a pathway to full-time permanent employment within the factory or an apprenticeship and trade as a Cabinet Maker with The Maker.
The successful applicants will:
- Have the ability to develop practical skills working with their hands
- Be self-motivated to learn both theory and practice
- Be open minded and flexible in their approach
- Be punctual and have excellent timekeeping
- Listen and ask questions to grow their knowledge

- Have good communication skills
- Be physically fit to do the task, this includes lifting assembled cabinets
