We are currently looking for a full-time Cabler (Data and Telecommunications) to join our team.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:
 

• Reviewing blueprints, guidelines, and the workspace to establish the ideal location and connectivity for the equipment to be set up.
• Identifying malfunctions in telecommunication devices utilizing tools like ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measurement devices.
• Connecting electrical wires and cables to devices.
• Troubleshooting, substituting, and fixing defective components, followed by validation through electronic testing tools.
• Setting up wiring infrastructure for services like phone lines, radio, pay television, and internet data transfer.
• Splicing cables and securing the cable jackets using lead or thermoplastic materials.
• Constructing, evaluating, and preserving above ground and subterranean wiring as well as antennas for radio and mobile phones.
• Implementing telecommunication devices and systems such as phone sets, switchboards, and data communication hardware.

 
Work Experience and Skills:

• Relevant qualifications or work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of cabling standards, network configurations, and equipment.
• Familiarity with fibre optic and copper cabling technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

 Salary package: $ $73,150 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
