Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice, management, and instruction on a range of surveying projects.
- Developing and maintaining a strong client base in the infrastructure and development sectors.
- Conducting fieldwork, calculations, data processing, and total project management.
- Competent in various survey functions, from contour and detail surveys to building set-outs and basic cadastral surveys.
- Execute survey tasks efficiently, achieving precision in results.
- Uphold our Quality Assurance system, conducting independent checks, following standard procedures, and maintaining meticulous records.
- Communicate effectively with fellow Surveyors, Survey Assistants, and RPS staff, ensuring clear reporting to supervisors and clients.
- Engage in discussions with contractors, consultants, and clients when necessary, especially on-site instructions.
- Never hesitate to ask questions and share insights when faced with challenges.
- Proactively bolster RPS's reputation as the preferred supplier to stakeholders.
- Cultivate and fortify relationships with clients while enhancing existing connections with both internal and external partners.
- Maintain a professional public profile at all times.
- You will possess formal qualifications as a Surveyor, holding a degree in spatial sciences and registered with the QLD Surveyors Board.
- A minimum of 5+ years of recent experience in surveying across diverse projects.
- Demonstrated project management skills. Experience in client management and staff leadership and mentoring is highly valued.
- Exceptional time management.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, with a preference for experience with Trimble instruments and 12D.
- Ability to work in a technically complex environment and meet project milestones.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Strong technical and communication skills.
- QLD manual driver's licence.
