About us

M20 Drafting Pty Ltd is a Structural Steel and Tilt Panel Drafting Business located in Bundaberg Qld. We are on the cutting edge using the latest Software (Tekla Structures) to '3D Model' Structural Steelwork within buildings, to enable manufacture of the steel. We are also known as "Steel Detailers" the Problem solvers of the industry. We work on a wide variety of projects from large buildings, home renovations, Bridges and infrastructure work, from the Gold Coast to Mackay. As a result of a strong pipeline of work and our recent office move, space has opened up for another cadet to join our team, and become part of the story. This is a Casual Role which will lead to a fulltime role for the right person, with career progression to Senior Drafter, Project Manager, Estimator, General Manager. Our Office is in West Bundaberg (Svensson Heights)  

Qualifications & experience

• Year 12 High School Certificate. (or working towards)
• Competent in Maths
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills. (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Exposure to CAD (AutoCAD, for e.g.) is advantageous
• Organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Attention to Detail.
• Problem Solving.
• Ability to Visualize a design.
• Ability to Start & Finish a Given task.
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication

Tasks & responsibilities

• Interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Ensure Drawings and specifications are complete & accurate.
• Complete 3D models of Structural Steelwork & Tilt Panels using Tekla Structures.
• Edit 2D Drawings using Tekla Structures as directed.
• Other General Office Tasks as Directed.
• A Cadet Role is similar to an Apprenticeship, or Junior role, Apprentice.
