How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
Our NSW/ACT Energy practice is looking for an Electrical Modeller Cadet to join the team based in Sydney. You will join our BIM/CAD team, where you could find yourself modelling or drafting on vast Energy projects around the country - taking Australia’s energy infrastructure into the next millennium.
Successful applicants will complete engineering studies at TAFE, ideally electrical, usually 1 day a week, as part of an industry recognised apprenticeship. The other 4 days will be based in the office. All TAFE fees will be reimbursed and you’ll be part of Aurecon’s inclusive and flexible culture.
What can you bring to the team?
We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of skills and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life:
Recently completed your HSC or equivalent or, have started your Drafting course at TAFE;
A genuine passion for electrical engineering and a flair for re-imagining problems and design
A strong willingness to learn, along with a curiosity about how ‘things’ are designed and then created
Excellent communication skills; you will be working with a wide range of people in our business so building productive relationships with others is vital
Ability to work with minimal supervision and drive your own performance and learning
