Le Café @ R Hotel Geelong – Café All-Rounder

The R Hotel is located on the Eastern edge of Geelong's CBD, comprising 128 luxurious apartments spanning over 9 levels, offering elegant accommodation and stunning ocean views. 

Located on the ground floor of the R Hotel in the Heritage building is Le Cafe. Seating 30 people, Le Cafe is responsible for providing coffee and light meals to walk-in customers and in house guests.

We are currently looking for a professional and motivated individual who has a passion for customer service to join our team as a hands-on, Café All Rounder, for an immediate start.

Key responsibilities of these roles include:

• Assisting customers with their orders
• Serving of hot and cold beverages – barista skills looked upon highly
• Light food preparation
• Providing quality table service
• Cash and payment handling
• Stock ordering
• Achieving guest satisfaction targets and exhibiting excellent customer service
• Ensure FOH and BOH are clean and well presented with regular monitoring
• Shifts generally run between 6am to 2pm 

To be successful in this role you will have proven strong performance in a café environment and customer service, as well as the following skills:

• Proven experience in similar positions within a Café environment
• Self-motivated and a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
• Experience in coffee making is required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with all hotel departments
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently when required
• Friendly, outgoing personality and a high standard of personal presentation
• The ability to act without prior authority in all matters concerning the safety, security and well-being of all hotel guests, patrons, and staff in the absence of management
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
• Excellent computer system skills
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is required
• Knowledge of OH&S guidelines and legislative food and safety requirements
• Experience with RMS POS Hospitality Suite is desired, but not essential
• Food Handling Safety Certificate is desired, but not essential

Further to this experience, to be successful in this role you will have unlimited work rights in Australia and will be available to work predominately morning shifts including weekends and public holidays, as per our business demands.
