The Australian Golf Club is a private Member’s Club located in Rosebery. The Club is the oldest Golf Club in Australia, having been originally founded in 1882. The Club prides itself on its history and tradition, and expects excellence in service delivery to the Members.
As a team our goal is to provide our Members with an exceptional golfing and hospitality experience, while aiming to provide a collaborative and caring environment for our team members to work in.
The role
We are currently seeking a Café All-Rounder to join our team. The role is offered on a casual basis, with the view to become permanent part-time in the future. The ideal candidate will have availability to work at least 3 days per week (including mornings and weekends). Shifts will usually be from 6.30am - 2.30pm.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Sandwich bar preparation & general food preparation
- Barista coffee making and serving food to Members and guests
- Providing excellent customer service and maintain good relations with all Members and guests
- Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the café area, including clearing tables
- Use of POS system for charges and cash handling
- Provide information on our product range, including promoting healthy food options
The role would be great for someone looking for a secure role to grow their experience in a dedicated and engaged team.
About you
To be successful in the role you must be well presented, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role is essential
- Being barista trained is essential
- Golf Club experience is advantageous, but not essential
