We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Group Labour Resource and Workforce Planning Manager who can align the labour acquisition plan with the broader People strategy and business objectives. This role requires a someone to lead, develop and forecast future labour requirements while working collaboratively with managers to drive and promote a culture of workplace safety, well-being, quality, efficiency and positive employee engagement.This position will see you spearhead the labour strategies whilst collaboratively with the Labour Managers and Team Leaders to support the achievement of the operational plan.Key Responsibilities:Labour Management
- Implement operational delivery of direct labour hire.
- Lead a team to develop a robust workforce plan.
- Enhance systems for mobilisation and demobilisation of workers.
- Monitor labour costs against weekly budgets and achieve targets.
- Ensure cost-effective labour modeling aligning with company's commercial objectives.
- Assist in weekly labour cost forecasting for all sites.
- Provide weekly labour trend reports to the GM and HR leads, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage worker well-being, performance, attendance, and assurance frameworks.
- Maintain required standard of worker performance quality.
- Ensure adherence to safe work procedures and practices.
- Regularly update and report on supply versus demand, program data capture, and program data management.
- Establish systems to source and meet accreditation standards.
- Monitor individual wellbeing and team performance against targets.
- Provide feedback and conduct performance reviews in consultation with the HR team and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Define and communicate goals and objectives, setting clear expectations.
- Inspire and motivate teamwork to achieve goals.
- Review and oversee 'actual' weekly labour expenditures, ensuring target attainment.
- Collaborate with Labour Managers to schedule labour in alignment with operational needs and cost frameworks.
- Provide Labour Managers with analysis of weekly labour trends, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement and heightened efficiency.
- Explore and enact corrective measures to ensure target rates are met.
- At least five years of proven experience in leadership roles effectively managing large teams to achieve commercial goals.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage conflicting priorities and deliver results.
- Strong time management and planning skills suitable for challenging and fast-paced environments.
- Ability to collaborate constructively in a team setting.
- Proven ability in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at a high level.
- Proficiency in data preparation and analysis.
- Advocate for ethical business practices and adherence to company policies.
- Possession of a current driver's license.
