We specialise in providing reliable, high quality and safe transport to older people and people with a condition preventing them from undertaking daily activities.
Café Connect is a social enterprise of CTST, reinvesting proceeds back into our service. It began as a place for our drivers to recharge in between driving our consumers to where they need to go and has expanded to include providing a welcoming café atmosphere and warm hospitality to the general public. Café Connect is open Monday-Friday from 7am-2.30pm and located at 320 Main Road Glenorchy.

About the Role
Café Connect has a small menu made fresh every day. The Café Assistant role involves basic food and beverage preparation and the provision of prompt, efficient and effective customer service. The Café Assistant positively promotes the café both internally and externally and builds positive relationships with customers, CTST workers and CTST consumers.
This is a casual position, working across the span of opening hours (Mon-Fri between the hours of 7am – 2.30pm). Shifts may include set-up and closing of the café in the absence of the Café Supervisor.
The position is classified at Level 2 (Food & Beverage Attendant) of the Restaurant Industry Award with the benefit of salary sacrifice options.
Key requirements of the position will be a combination of the following:
- basic food preparation with a strong knowledge of food storage and handling
- greeting customers and employees in a friendly manner and taking orders
- preparation and service of hot and cold drinks and food items
- maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness of the work environment and equipment in accordance with organisational and Public Health standards
- cash handling and EFTPOS
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- previous barista and food handling experience
- enthusiasm for providing outstanding service and creating positive connections with customers
- flexibility and the ability to multitask across customer service, kitchen and barista tasks
- the ability to work in a small team and to work autonomously where required
- high standards of punctuality and reliability
All CTST employees must:
- hold a current driver’s licence
- have a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (or be willing to obtain)
- have a current National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)
