The Café Attendant provides the highest quality service to customers of the Cultural Centre, including the provision of café style food and table service and the preparation of coffee and light meals. This position assists in the provision of catering for functions and events taking place within the Cultural Centre and maintains the clean and tidy presentation of the Cultural Centre’s public spaces. The Café Attendant participates in a ‘team’ mentality and ensures effective WH&S and EEO procedures are followed at all times.
You will have proven service experience in a café / restaurant environment and an understanding of the operation of tools and equipment commonly utilized within this environment. You will have a knowledge of food preparation and storage standards, OH&S requirements, and proven ability to initiate, plan and prioritise multi-dimensional tasks within a busy work environment. Experience and understanding of POS systems, register management and till reconciliation as well as RSA certificate are essential.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $27.06 gross per hour
+ 25% casual loading
+ weekend and after hours loading
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
