An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Cafe Coordinator to lead our cafe team at the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre in Cooma. This fast-paced environment attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually and operates 363 days a year. The role is permanent full-time, and has eight direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and coordinate staff to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient cafe operations.
Oversee the kitchen to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Be the public face of Snowy Hydro, providing a welcoming and customer-focused experience for all visitors.
Handle ordering of supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and costs are controlled.
Implement measures to reduce waste and promote sustainability within the cafe.
Collaborate on menu development to keep offerings fresh, appealing, and aligned with customer preferences.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth service and adherence to standards.
Ensure all cafe activities meet health and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for staff and visitors.
About you:
Experience in a leadership or management role in a customer-facing, hospitality environment.
Strong communication, exceptional customer service abilities, and sound computer proficiency.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a large team with competing priorities.
