The Great Stupa is seeking two casual staff members to work in our StupaView café for 3 – 4 shifts per week, with an immediate start. The café is managed by a small team, and it is important that all staff support all areas within the cafe and each other.
As a member of the StupaView café you will be required to help setup and pack up the café, take customer orders, assist with food preparation and cooking, assist with ordering food and supplies, maintain food hygiene standards, clean the kitchen and work areas as per health standards, clearing and cleaning of dining tables, and cash handling and balancing the cafe till.
We are looking for passionate cook to join our team and assist our Café Supervisor. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with daily food preparation and cooking of our menu, following directions, recipes and quality standards, ensuring kitchen operation adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, collaborating with our manager, supervisor and other team members to ensure an efficient and high standard of service, and running meals and serving of customers.
We are also looking for an enthusiastic individual to help serve our customers. Key responsibilities will include: preparing and serving a variety of beverages, greeting customers, taking orders and running orders, clearing and cleaning dining tables, provide exceptional customer service, address customer enquiries and maintain a friendly environment.
Barista, safe Food Handling, food preparation and cash handling skills will be required for both roles. Food handler’s certificate, exceptional customer service and previous experience is essential.
The operating hours of the StupaView Café are currently 10:30am – 3:00pm, however, these hours are subject to change if needed; longer opening hours may apply for festivals and events. Availability on weekends, public holidays, and during holiday periods is required to meet the needs of our customers. Days / times of your shifts will vary as per the needs of the roster.
