Role Overview: As a Casual Therapy Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and an exceptional experience for all clients across our hand therapy, community and paediatric pillars. Your responsibilities will include clinical support, administration tasks, professional development, and other duties as directed by management.
Responsibilities
Clinical Support: Conduct clinical assessments and treatments under supervision. Support clients in various settings, including clinics, workplaces, schools, community, and homes. Collaborate with the clinical team to provide holistic care and ensure client satisfaction.
Administration: Maintain professional and concise clinical notes and reports. Manage your diary efficiently to meet KPIs. Complete delegated admin tasks promptly and develop educational materials for clients and staff. Assist clinical team with report writing and equipment ordering.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills. Participate actively in supervision sessions and discuss your professional development pathway.
Other Duties: Be a supportive and approachable colleague. Participate in company projects, assist with social media, and ensure workplace safety.
Requirements:
- Police Check
- Driver's Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Occupational Therapy Student
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Punctuality and flexibility
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, Teams, and practice management systems
- Member of a peak professional industry organisation (e.g., OT Australia, AHTA, APA)
- Previous health-related work experience
