What’s the job?
Torrens University is Australia’s fastest growing university, and we are building on that success by creating a student experience that leads the way in Australia’s higher education industry. Reporting to Courtney Lund, Associate Director of Campus Operations, the purpose of the Campus Director role is to act as the custodian for our campuses by making them engaging, accessible and collaborative spaces for students, staff, industry partners and the local community.
 

Day-to-day accountabilities:

  • Be responsible for building a proactive and dynamic team providing to activate our campuses and provide an exceptional campus experience for visitors.

  • Ensure that all campus-specific queries are resolved within appropriate service levels.

  • Create a framework for service and quality reporting to deliver key insights and actions to the Executive Leadership Team.

  • Build a network of connections to place our campuses at the centre of the local community and attract new industry partners.

  • Manage scheduling and staff rosters to meet demand.

  • Ensure classrooms and learning spaces are accessible and suitable for student use.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Melbourne, Flinders Street Campus.


Who you are
To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in a customer service, customer experience or service industry environment. You could come from a hospitality/event background or other service industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and event management will be highly regarded.

  • Prior experience in a higher education environment would be highly regarded but not essential.

  • Proven ability to work in a target and KPI-driven environment.

  • Thorough understanding of the key drivers of an excellent UX and CX.

  • Proven ability to implement programs of continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, not only internally but also externally by creating successful partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritise effectively.
