Eligibility: Open to EveryoneRole Status: Full-time term vacancy until 27 June 2025Remuneration: OPS4 ($75,430 - $79,070 p.a.) + 11% SuperannuationRole DetailsThe Department for Child Protection is seeking a Case Worker to join the Port Lincoln office on a full-time term basis.The role is responsible for:

• Investigating child protection matters, case management of children and their families, writing and actioning case plans and maintaining client files.
• Connecting clients to appropriate services and formal and informal community networks.
• Visiting children in alternative care and providing support and assistance as required.
• Facilitating opportunities for children under the Guardianship of the Minister to build healthy identities.
• Undertaking child and family support project work and other duties with cultural awareness and sensitivity.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have experience in dealing with conflict situations, including managing complex and challenging behaviours of parents and children. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.The RegionPort Lincoln is located 647 km from Adelaide and takes approximately 7 hours to drive. Port Lincoln is situated on Boston Bay, one of the largest protected natural harbours in the world three times the size of Sydney Harbour.The Port Lincoln office is situated on the township foreshore within the metro precinct and employs approximately 20 people. As a member of this team you will work with other professionals to deliver services to Port Lincoln Community. As a member of this team, you will also work with and develop strong partnerships with other internal and external partners, many of which will be located within the community.This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the local community and support good outcomes for that community.
