Support organisations to build capable, agile and diverse workforces as a Capability Development Manager with Professional and Continuing Education in a 23 month, fixed term contract.

That’s where you step in! Professional and Continuing Education at the University of Adelaide is seeking a collaborative and creative Capability Development Manager to expertly conceptualise and co-design short, medium and long-term workforce development solutions.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our clients (local, national, and international organisations, predominately operating in the defence, energy and mining and health sectors), our business development team and subject matter experts to co-create a range of solutions, which may include single program maps or assessment tools through to whole-of-organisation strategies, capability frameworks and evaluation plans.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Extensive experience in an organisational development, learning design, or workforce development role or similar.
  • High level knowledge of tertiary education (VET and/or higher education) policies and frameworks and ability to design and apply AQF aligned solutions.
  • Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders including executives, industry professionals and subject matter experts.
  • Experience in the use of creative tools and techniques to facilitate design and development activities with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, to drive positive outcomes and to deliver quality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to mitigate risks and issues that impact project timelines and budgets.
