About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Engineering Capability Development Lead to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, and reporting to the Manager Functional Discipline Engineering, you will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Engineering technical skill pool with the development and implementation of technical capabilities required for career progression. You will also steward and support the Facilities Engineering Graduate Program from a functional perspective, as well as lead and support functional improvement plan initiatives, projects and related activities to deliver Santos’ 2040 Vision.
Key responsibilities will include:
Steward the development and implementation of comprehensive Facilities Engineering (FE) technical competency profiles (CMAPS) aligned with Santos organizational roles, goals and objectives.
Facilitate identification of technical skill gaps and development needs within the FE skill pool through assessments and analysis.
Support the design and delivery of technical training guides, programs, workshops, and learning materials to enhance technical competencies across FE skill pool.
Collaborate with FE discipline and domain subject matter experts to ensure relevance and effectiveness of training content.
Work with relevant stakeholders and FE subject matter experts to evaluate the effectiveness of technical training guides and programs through assessments and feedback and steward adjustments as necessary.
Coordinate the technical competency assessment & moderation process for FE skill pool.
Collaborate with HR & learning & development teams to integrate technical competency development initiatives into talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning processes.
Work with HR and talent management teams to coordinate the annual FE Graduate program.
Lead and support functional improvement plan initiatives, projects and related activities to deliver 2040 Vision.
Provide support across any other relevant activities to the Functional Discipline Engineering Manager.
About You
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, the successful candidate will also possess a strong technical background and strong project management skills, coupled with expertise in one or more technical domains relevant to the organization. You will also demonstrate excellent facilitation and collaboration skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
It is essential that you are committed to continuous learning and professional development, with a passion for helping others succeed. Whilst not essential, any exposure to and experience with PetroSkills Compass tool will be held in high esteem.
