Cub Campers is looking for an experienced Sales Consultant and all-rounder for immediate start in a fulltime role at our Newcastle showroom (Heatherbrae NSW). Cub is one of the industry’s most exciting and dynamic Australian manufacturers, has a 55-year heritage and are still Australian Made & Owned to this day. Our renowned caravans and Campers are made in our impressive North Rocks (Sydney) factory.  

Reporting to the Newcastle Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing prospective clients, leading them through the sales cycle, from first contact all the way through to handover and servicing support for the lifecycle of the customer purchase. They will also be required to assist with after sales services such as warranty claims, spare parts/accessories sales, repair/service enquiries etc. We are looking for someone who will take pride in the showroom, always maintaining it to a high standard. Duties may also extend to sales at regional/interstate shows and deliveries/towing.

This role requires a proactive, energetic person eager to apply their sales skills in the growing RV market. Retail sales experience is essential and willingness to work on a roster including Saturdays is required. 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and responsibilities:

• Strong sales experience, ideally in the leisure or automotive industry.
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems would be beneficial, but not required.
• Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle both sales and customer support calls.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts.
• Customer demonstration and handover of campers & caravans as required.
• Able to assist in set-up and pack-down of trade shows as required.
• Responsibility to open, close and maintain the showroom to a high standard as required.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

• Knowledge of Caravans, Camper trailers, Camping or 4WD knowledge is not essential but highly regarded.
• Exceptional written and oral communication.
• A friendly and professional approach in presentation, style and interpersonal communication.
• A team player, who is willing to learn and grow with the company.
• Attention to detail with determination to follow a job though to completion.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as take ongoing day-to-day direction.
• A full Australian driver’s license is required.
• Towing Experience.
