Painters Island Committee of Management is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive couple to manage our busy tourist holiday park. Painters Island Caravan Park is nestled alongside the Ovens River in Wangaratta in the scenic North East of Victoria. The park is in an ideal location and is only a short walk to the centre of town. It offers a range of tourist accommodation options, including modern self-contained cabins, large powered van sites, and unpowered camping, all set amidst 20 acres of picturesque parkland.
The selected candidates, under the leadership of the Committee of Management, will assume responsibility for the daily management and running of the holiday park.
Job Requirements:
- Front office including reception, reservation management, debtor management, and general administration duties;
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests and contractors;
- General maintenance of facilities, infrastructure, equipment (including tools and vehicles) and buildings;
- Grounds care including lawn mowing, irrigating, weeding, tree pruning, and rubbish collection;
- Assisting with the cleaning of amenities, communal areas, and cabins alongside housekeeping if required;
- After-hours on-call duties as required;
- Managing and supervising a team of staff; and
- Achieving financial targets.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in successfully managing and developing parks;
- Experience in the use of social media platforms for tourism marketing purposes;
- Thorough knowledge of RMS9+ software;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Strong organisational and time management abilities;
- Comprehensive understanding of Workplace Health & Safety regulations; and
- Experience in Emergency Management

- Possession of a valid First Aid Certificate including CPR training is mandatory;
