We are looking for a passionate and professional individual to join us on a permanent, full-time basis in our Cardiology Department at the Friendly Society Private Hospital in Bundaberg.
As a Cardiac Physiologist you will be responsible for the day-to-day best practice delivery of ECG-related testing procedures for Advara HeartCare patients. These procedures include ECG recording, Blood Pressure and other basic parameter measurements, Ambulatory Monitoring, analysis and recording of results, as well as assisting specialist doctors with Exercise Stress Tests. This position is also responsible for setting up and maintaining ECG and Stress testing rooms ahead of/after testing and assisting patients during all diagnostic procedures.
What you’ll do:
- Manage procedures including the performance of ECGs, analysis and interpretation of ECGs, blood pressure, Holter monitor and event monitor application and analysis; as well as assisting Cardiologists with Exercise Stress Tests and Exercise Stress Echocardiograms
- You will be required to work closely with other Cardiac Physiologists, Specialist Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiologists and all practice staff to ensure best practice and optimise patient outcomes.
- You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while working across a number of busy Cardiology practices across multiple locations
- Have the ability to work under pressure and respond to fluctuating workflow and internal/external demands
Who you are:
- Completion of, or still completing, a Primary Degree in Health Science or related field; or a Degree or Diploma in Applied Science
- Thorough understanding of the principles of ECG analysis and interpretation
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide guidance and theoretical education to less experienced Cardiac Physiologists
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, and adapt to change
- Exceptional communication skills
- License and car are essential, as the ability to travel between sites is an important part of the role
- Take on additional duties/responsibilities where appropriate.
