We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Nurse to join our team in a Cardio-Pulmonary Clinical Nurse Consultant position. This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide nursing expertise and knowledge to the Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiac Conditioning and Pulmonary Rehabilitation outpatient programs and assist with co-ordinating these programs.

This is a part time position of 8 hours per week, exact hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Pulmonary and cardiac knowledge and experience including an understanding of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs and associated processes.
  • Experience in health promotion and chronic disease management.

IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The new hospital is set to feature 233-beds and 33 emergency department treatment spaces as well as aged care and an expanded maternity facility.

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks, a NDIS worker screening clearance and a current Employee Working with Children Check. All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
