About the role
The Cardiac Rhythm Clinical Educator is responsible for the facilitation and development of education initiatives that foster a culture of clinical learning for cardiac physiologists in the areas of rhythm interpretation, cardiac catheterisation, and cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) and cardiac electrophysiology at Eastern Health. The Cardiac Rhythm Clinical Educator is also responsible for the supervision of patient management with regard to implanted CIED recalls and hazard alerts.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent
- Awarded IBHRE for Pacing and/or EP, or equivalent
- At least 7 years post graduate experience in the profession of Cardiac Physiology
- Extensive experience in 12 lead electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring, and cardiac catheterisation
- High level skill in management of Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs)
- Experience in evaluation of clinical education and professional development of staff and students.
- Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning
- Ongoing commitment to the professional development of Cardiac Physiology
- Current accreditation with appropriate professional body (eg, ACCP)
- Awarded Graduate Diploma of Cardiac Electrophysiology (CEPIA), or working towards
- Experience in leadership of staff with extensive knowledge and experience in providing supervision, mentoring and support to staff and students
- Experience of quality improvement, research processes and commitment to achieving best practice professional clinical standards
