About the Role
We are currently looking for motivated and passionate Personal Care Assistants to join the supportive and friendly teams at our The Orchards Community located in Doncaster East, VIC on a CASUAL and PART TIME basis.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide care and support that enhances our resident's wellbeing and who are committed to the needs of our clients, delivering high quality care, maintaining an optimal level of dignity, respect, comfort, and quality of life for clients.
Key Duties
- Commitment to providing consumer centered care of the highest standards
- Provision of high-quality consumer care as per the individual consumer care plan
- Documentation of consumer outcomes clearly and as per Baptcare procedures
- Recognise changes in a consumer’s health status and report appropriately
- Respond to changing needs of consumers
- Adhere to all the relevant workplace safety laws and regulations
About You
You will be friendly, caring, and resilient. A true professional who genuinely wants the best for your clients.
Please note you will need the following in order to progress your application:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, or
- Certificate II in Aged Care and 2 years’ experience in aged care, or
- Undergoing a traineeship in Certificate III in Aged Care or
- At least 3 years working as an unqualified PCA/ECA in a closely related field, or
- Working towards a qualification in nursing.
- Willingness to obtain a Police Check through Baptcare.
- Good verbal and written communication and basic computer skills (for rosters, eLearning, etc.).
- Two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, and willingness to obtain annual booster.
- Administration of medication training will be highly regarded.
Shifts and varying hours are available for morning, afternoon, and night duty - we are particularly seeking reliable candidates with the availability and flexibility to work weekdays AND weekends as required for part-time shifts.
