About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and caring Lifestyle Assistant to join our Bloom Lifestyle Team at our Clyde North home.
This role on offer is full time with fixed hours:
- Monday - Friday
- Shift times: 0900hrs - 1700hrs
You will be working within an inclusive and supportive team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Carers, General Practitioners, Allied Health professionals, residents and their families to deliver high quality clinical and personal care to residents of Luson.
About you:
You are qualified with a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle in the Aged Care sector with a minimum of 2 years experience. Have an ongoing learning and continuous improvement philosophy with a person centered approach and are enthusiastic and dedicated to making a difference.
To be considered for this opportunity, you ideally meet the following criteria:
- Provide lifestyle services to assist residents to maintain their independence and dignity related to activities of daily living and lifestyle according to their individual care plans, Aged Care Standards and policies/procedures of Luson Health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to document on an IT platform individual resident’s choices and needs
- Ability to assess and review the lifestyle needs of all residents and evaluating the lifestyle program to ensure positive resident outcomes
- Passion and experience in providing recreational activities within an aged care environment
- Previous experience in Dementia Care
- Victorian Drivers License (with no restrictions) to enable driving of Minibus for social outings
To be the successful candidate you must meet the position requirements as well as provide an Aged Care Food Safety Certificate (HLTFSE001) a current Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Check. Both Influenza and COVID19 vaccinations (including Booster) are mandatory at Luson.
