The Role
Our client is seeking a Care Manager to join their 70 bed Nursing Home based in South West Sydney. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be responsible for the coordination of care and delivery to residents, while providing leadership to Registered Nurses and care staff. Your time will be mainly spent focusing on continuing the high performing culture and ensuring first class care and services are provided to residents. Main responsibilities include:
* Oversee, lead, supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the clinical care staff
* Ensure the smooth running's of care provisions and act as clinical consult for nursing matters
* Ensure nursing practices are compliant with Aged Care Act and Accreditation Standards including organising scheduled training
* Maintain an excellent understanding of accreditation standards, requirements under the Aged Care Act and principles, AN-ACC and continuous quality improvement
* Supervise all clinical staff and resource allocation as required
* Liaise with key stakeholders, coordinate weekly clinical care meetings, ensure documentation is up to date and ensure continuous improvements
* Promote good relationships with residents and families by ensuring families are aware of residents' current state and progress
* Overseeing day to day clinical activities and identifying clinical high-risk matters
What you need
* Tertiary qualification in Nursing (essential)
* Minimum of 2 years as Clinical Care Manager in Aged care industry or equivalent
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated experience in improving clinical outcomes
* Demonstrated experience leading a teams of 30 clinical staff
* Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
* National Criminal Record Check
Open to Registered Nurses with strong clinical background and leadership skills who want to step into a Care Manager role. Must be a RN with 4-5 + years, along with Aged Care experience.
