JJ Care Services are a leading boutique provider of essential homecare and disability support services as well as supported living and short term accommodation and residential respite services within our large centre, based in Gymea Bay.
Due to rapid growth, we are urgently seeking a dynamic service and rostering coordinator to join our team.
Joining a small office team working closely with the director and longstanding management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the rostering, allocation and administration of a team of over 110 individual support workers, and coordinating the care and service delivery of consumers.
The role is not simple, and requires the ability to interpret and implement complex awards and industrial instruments, analyse and identify errors and WHS issues in rosters and allocations, manage leave, and manage consumer and worker preferences and requests, as well as managing a consumer case load, care management and liaison.
As an established business working with a small management team, we are a lean office with a close-knit, friendly team that cross a variety of responsibilities.

We receive up to 20 new requests for service per day, as well as manage a busy residential respite care facility which requires a constantly changing ratio and skill demand of staff.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Receiving service requests and new consumers and communicating their preferences and rostering possibilities in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate with consumers regarding changes to their services and rostering requirements and implement
- Conduct home visits, risk assessment and care planning
- Oversee service delivery by support workers, follow up and investigate incidents and communicate with stakeholders
- End to end recruitment of new support staff
- Attracting, onboarding and retaining new consumers
- Overseeing service and care coordination of our consumers including compliance documentation, assessments, clinical and non clinical liaison, emergency planning, risk assessment and management, care planning and more
- Managing staff availability, leave and roster preferences and regularly communicating with staff regarding this
- Managing a complex rostering platform and ensuring compliance of all rosters to award and industrial instruments
- Have a thorough understanding of the SCHADS award and ability to implement this across the board
- Analyse rosters daily for compliance and efficiency and implement required changes
- Assist with heavy admin workload including document management, communications and data entry to ensure staff are well equipped with information and plans prior to engaging in supports with consumers.
- Ability to assist with social media, email marketing, HR management and administration and clinical escalations will be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate must have experience in coordination in this sector as the role is complex and will hit the ground running. You must also have a strong understanding of the SCHADS award or a similar industrial instrument, and advanced technical skills.
The role is full time Mon-Fri with early starts and late finishes sometimes required. A clinical background is advantageous but not essential.
