The role applies an evidence-based strengths-based approach, that draws upon and develops students' individual strengths that contributes to student success across the entire student lifecycle and prepares them for the world of work on completion of their studies. UOW has three Metropolitan Campuses in the Greater Sydney region (located in Liverpool, Sutherland and the Sydney CBD), which collectively offer a broad array of courses. There is a high proportion of students for whom English is an additional language, from culturally diverse backgrounds, are first in family to attend university, are international students or are from a low socioeconomic environment.
UOW's Metropolitan Campuses represent a key strategic priority for UOW as cohesive, integrated, anchor institutions in their area and are expected to grow in student numbers over the next 5 years. Across all locations there is a need to ensure students receive tailored high-quality targeted career and Employability services and resources that develop their employability skills and empower students to take ownership of their careers
