We are a family of three, soon to be four, with a newborn on the way in June! We currently have a fantastic babysitter/nanny who comes in on a Tuesday afternoon, but are looking for a second person to do some babysitting for us on the days that she is not available. We have a beautiful little 2 year old boy who loves trucks, park times, music, dancing and exploring! We also have a medium sized dog (whippet) who is incredibly gentle, so you must also be comfortable with dogs.
Your Duties
Duties would involve playing with our toddler, taking him to the local parks and giving him lunch/snacks. I will be on maternity leave and the role is mostly to give me some extra time to look after our second baby/get housework done, etc. We have previously found that having an extra pair of hands around in the evenings (5-8pm) is also helpful, and we would ideally like someone who would be available for evenings as well (ie, help with bath time, dinners, etc).
Our Perfect Caregiver
We are looking for someone very local (ie, within 10 mins of our house) to provide casual/semi-regular hours. I will be at home most of the time with our newborn, and am looking for someone who would be happy to take our little boy to the local park, play around our house and just generally engage with him. Our current baby sitter does 3-4 hours at a time and this arrangement works well. We would be looking for something similar, probably in the second half of the week (although we are flexible with days/times). We are hoping to find someone who has good interpersonal skills, is mature, friendly and has common sense. Previous experience with toddlers would be ideal.
