An opportunity exists for an experienced Carpenter to join our team.
You’ll be part of a Specialised Building Company focused on meeting the detailed requirements of the Heritage Building industry.
The position requires a candidate with an desire for high quality workmanship, strong communication skills and ensure that projects run as smoothly as possible.
The role will be focused on an experienced carpenter, that will be required for commercial and residential building restoration projects of varying sizes. We are a small team with a flexible easy going environment which aims to both support our team while ensuring projects run smoothly to time and budget.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Responsible for a safe site and safe work practices
- Capable of maintaining schedules / timeframes, managing clients, trade and other employees
- Dealing with any issues in a professional manner
- Required to follow building plans and specifications to meet the needs of clients
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors and door frames.
- Be able to fix and repair sash windows
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Instruct and direct labourers and other trades
- Be able to report and collaborate with the Project Manager throughout any project
- Ensure all company assets are secure and used safely and competently
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be a fully qualified carpenter
- Have at least 5 years of carpentry experience
- Knowledge of Workplace, Occupation Health and Safety regulation
- Heritage Restoration experience, highly desirable
- Competently read and follow engineering and architectural plans
- Be a skilled trades person with high quality workmanship
- Must have your own hand tools and power tools
- Have ability to manage trades, contractors, junior employees in a professional manner
- Possess a recognised Certificate IV in Building
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Must hold a valid white card
- Must hold a drivers licence and have access to a vehicle
- Must be able to apply for Working with Children Check WWCC
- Must be able to obtain a National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test at anytime.
Other Information
Great Customer Service Skills, Excellent English Language, Excellent Writing Skills and a Full Driving License. White Card is preferred.
Hours: 45 to 55 hours per week
We work between 7am to 5pm depending on the project and minimal to no weekend work.
Be able to travel across NSW regions for various projects is required.
A 3-month probation period will apply
